Trusted Business

Step 0. Preliminary Stage.

Before beginning the process of building a website, you should know two things:

The purpose of this website.

The target market.

It seems obvious but many business owners get confused and try to build sites for all and everything without focus. It is essential to know who your target market is. This will help us create an appropriate design for the site.

Let's say there will be one type of the website if you decide that you just want to have a web presence to improve the image of your company and spread the information about yourself. There will be a totally different website if you want to have an e-commerce website and sell directly online.

Some clients want to build a "perfect site" right of the bet and never touch it again. It does not work this way. Website is almost like a living thing, it grows, evolves, changes. Constant updates, improvements and additions make it "perfect". You will grow with your website and your understanding of the business process and approach will evolve as well.

It is also advisable to use niche markets. It is easy to start with a single line of products, market them properly and then expend to other lines rather than start with 10,000 items and then have no budget for marketing.

The rule of thumb is "Start small and grow"

Step 1. Request a Quote.

Request an estimate by visiting our Request a quote page.

There are a number of ways you can request a quote.

- You can visit different sections of the website and try to estimate a quotation using our online calculators: web design, e-commerce, logo design, corporate id

- you can simply submit your specs on the Request a quote page

- and of course you can call us and get the estimate over the phone.

In case the information you submit is not sufficient, we will email you or call you with additional questions.

Step 2. Quote Acceptance.

Quote accepted

If you are satisfied with the quote you have received, let us know by email or phone, and we will issue an invoice for the deposit. Most of the time the deposit is 50% and the remaining 50% is due upon the full completion of the project. For larger projects the deposit can be split in instalments. Our quote will be your main reference during the website development process as it contains all the information about the deliverables and the process itself. If you wish, you may also request a formal agreement.

Initial deposit

Once you receive the invoice please notify us about the mailing of the check. It may take a few days for the check to arrive. If you notify us at the time you mailed out the check your project will be scheduled right away.

Project questionnaire

Once we receive the notification about the check being mailed out we will send you the questionnaire that will help you summarize all your requirements and preferences. They will help guide the work of our designers and programmers.

Step 3. Concept Designs.

Concept design Creation

Once the questionnaire is received the designers start work on the concept designs. On average it takes 4-5 days, however if there is a back log of the projects it might take a few more days. Once the concepts are created they will be e-mailed to you.

Concept designs review and comments

Once you receive the concepts please review them and let me know which one you like the most and if any corrections are necessary. In very rare cases it happens that none of the concepts is suitable. In this case please notify us and we will determine why this happened and will start over again.

Once the concept design is accepted we might have to go a few time back and forth making small corrections and improvements. Usually 3-4 rounds are sufficient to get the design finalized.

Step 4. Input content and images.

Design integration and programming

Once the design is approved, we will convert it into HTML. To do this, you will need to send us the final content, which is then integrated into the HTML files. The final content needs to be provided in Word format (see sample).

Usually, images for your site will be taken from royalty-free clip art galleries. If you already have images for your site, please send them separately in JPEG, or PNG format; and in a separate Word document specify where those images need to be placed. If needed, a reasonable number of changes may be made to the content later on at no additional cost.

After the site has been converted into HTML, any major changes to the design or layout will be made at an additional cost.

Step 5. Approve Web Site and Make Final Payment.

Website review

At this stage, you will review the final website, ensuring that you are completely satisfied with the structure of the website, all of the pages are laid out properly, and the images are correct. At this stage, your site can be found at a test location: www.intelexcanada.com/yoursite.

Final website approval

This is the final stage before all rights, permissions, and ownership are transferred to you.

Final Payment

This stage concludes the approval process, at which point we will transfer the final version of your website to its permanent location: www.intelexcanada.com/yoursite.

Post-launch changes and debugging

After you approve your website and make your final payment, you will be given a two-week bonus period, in case you find any minor problems with your website. These could be linking problems, incorrect images, minor changes to content, grammatical corrections, etc. During this two-week period, all changes are FREE OF CHARGE.

Permanent Debugging

If you find any bugs on the site after the two-week period, they will be fixed at NO COST. Changes to your website that are not bug-related are charged on a per-hour basis.
